You never know what path God is going to lay out for you in life but for me the path toward becoming a pastor started in junior high. It was at that time that my mom and grandma both were sick and were needing surgery. The one person who was there for them was my pastor, who we called Pastor Dan. He visited with them, He shared God's word with them, and prayed for them. It touched their lives…and mine. At the same time, I was in our confirmation class at church and this same pastor helped me to understand God's Word in ways I had never thought of before. All the while it was becoming obvious to me. I wanted to impact people's lives in this way, I wanted to share God's Word with them, I wanted to be a pastor.
Today that is where God has led me. I love having the opportunity to impact the lives of people with God's Word in the same way it has always impacted me. I've never come across anything as powerful, loving, or life changing as this Jesus we find on the pages of scripture. It is my hope, as we journey together in this life of faith which God has given us, that His word will come alive for you in the same way it has for me.
